MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (NEWS CENTER) - Mark Rogers injury-riddled run with the Milwaukee Brewers appears to be over.
The Milwaukee Brewers outrighted the Orrs Island native from their 40-man roster and after clearing waivers the 5th overall selection of the 2004 Major League Baseball draft is now a free agent.
A series of injuries have limited Rogers to just 11 career Major League appearances with seven of those as starts in 2012.
After struggling in Spring Training, Rogers was placed on the disabled list with shoulder instability in March.
In 12 minor league apperances, Rogers amassed 22 2/3 innings pitched with a 5.16 earned run average.
