HARLINGEN, Texas (KVEO) -- 99-year-old Elia Guzman de Estrada proudly held her right hand up as she was read the oath of allegiance and sworn in as a U.S. citizen Wednesday.
She was then given her certificate.
"I am very emotional; I have so much joy that the emotion makes me cry," said Estrada.
Generations of family members proudly took pictures of the momentous occasion at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service Building in Harlingen, Texas.
