PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER) - For the third consecutive year the hockey community will rally for a local charity and for the second straight year Bruins great and NHL Hall of Famer Ray Bourque will be there.
The third annual Face Off for a Cause presented by the Michael T. Goulet Foundation will feature players from college and pro hockey past and present headlined by the long-time Bruins captain Bourque.
Along with an exhibition hockey game the charity event will feature a 30-minute autograph session during the intermission.
All proceeds will be donated the foundation named after the Saco native, who died from the complications of a seizure at the age of 21 in 2010.
The foundation's mission is to bring awareness, prevention and improved treatment for seizure disorders and brain injuries.
In correlation with that 500 helmets will be given away along with free fittings.
