QUETTA, Pakistan (AP) - A Pakistani police chief says a bomb planted on a bus for a women's university has killed 11 female students in the country's southwest.
Mir Zubair Mahmood says the Saturday blast in Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province, set the bus on fire. He says another 19 were injured.
Earlier that day in a different town in the same province, militants destroyed a historic house associated with the country's founder, shooting dead a guard.
The province is home to Islamic militant movements as well as an ethnic nationalist insurgency.
