KENNEBUNK, Maine (AP) - Authorities have arrested a Kennebunk man on drug and firearms charges after seizing crack cocaine and two semi-automatic pistols from his hotel room.
Maine Drug Enforcement agents and Kennebunk Police arrested Shaun Barry, 23, after searching his room at the Turn Pike Motel on Monday. They found 60 grams of crack, scales and packaging materials, nearly $900 and the pistols, one of which was loaded. Kennebunk officers also recovered property stolen in a January burglary.
Barry had been on probation from Massachusetts, where he had previous convictions for drug- and firearm-related crimes. He has been taken to the York County Jail, where his bail is set at $50,000.
If convicted of trafficking in crack and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, he could face four years in prison.
