PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- "Les Miserables" debuted on Christmas to big crowds.

For a holiday release, the plot features some grim details about prison, prostitutes and poverty.  Despite all that, our movie reviewer Mike Robida still found it to be an uplifting cinematic experience.
