HANCOCK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --- Three people were hospitalized in Ellsworth Tuesday afternoon after they were involved in a car crash in Hancock.

At times the crash brought traffic on Route 1 to a standstill. Responders say it happened after a pickup truck was rear ended by an SUV near Thorsen Road. The driver of the SUV, Danny Carter, was taken to the hospital as well as Michael Fessenden, who was in the pickup truck with John Brundadge.

The impact caused the truck to roll over and partially ejected Brundadge, who was riding in the passenger seat. All three people were taken to Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. At this time they are all in stable condition.
