NEW YORK (NBC) -- Being a first time host of "Saturday Night Live" can be daunting for many performers, but this week's host also has duties as musical guest as well.
Singer Bruno Mars is taking the double dip.
Mars already has the singing part nailed.
He was a musical guest on "Saturday Night Live" two years ago.
His only major acting credit, however, came as a 6-year-old, a brief appearance as "Little Elvis" in the film "Honeymoon in Vegas".
In between skits, Mars will share some new music, including the single, "Locked Out of Heaven", from his upcoming album, "Unorthodox Jukebox".
It's due in stores December 11th.
