BRISTOL, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A man from Bristol is recovering after someone shot him.
It happened Thursday morning, near the man's home on the Upper Round Pond Road in Bristol. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department isn't releasing many details yet, but says the man went into the woods near his home to investigate shots he had heard. Somehow, he ended up getting shot.
Major Ken Mason says they have a good idea of what happened, know who fired the shot and believe the shooting was an accident. The man was treated at Miles Hospital for the gunshot wound.
