KITTERY, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- No one was seriously injured Sunday when a school bus and passenger car collided on Route 236 in Kittery.

It happened around 12:15 Sunday afternoon. The bus was carrying 32 members of the Westbrook Schools Football team for a game with Kittery's Recreation Department.

Police say the driver of the bus, Benjamin Brem, wasn't familiar with the area and had slowly pulled to the right to make a wide U-turn.

Laurie Marino, driving the car behind him, says she thought he was pulling over and went to go around him, but the bus made it's turn and hit her car on the right side.

Kittery Police are still investigating.

Police called in Ledgmere transportation to help get the kids to the game, as the bus was disabled in the crash.
