ORONO, Maine (NEWS CENTER)--The Girl Scouts of Maine honored two outstanding women during the Pearls of Wisdom conference.

Ten Year old Samantha Moore received the girl scouts medal of honor.  Last December she helped save a man's life by putting into action the first aid skills she learned from scouting.

Nancy Dysart was also honored.  She was given the Juliette award for her lifelong service to the community.  Both women say scouting has changed their lives.

Nancy Dysart is retired and she spends much of her time volunteering in the community.  Samantha Moore also volunteers when she is not attending music classes at the University of Maine at Machias.
