RAYMOND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - The Cumberland County Sheriff's Department is investigating a collision between two motorcycles that sent the riders to the hospital.
In a media release, Captain Shawn O'Leary says rescue crews were called to the intersection of Route 302 and Webbs Mill Road at 7:02 PM Saturday night.
Capt. O'Leary says Cintron Obed, from North Providence, Rhode Island, was turning from 302 onto Webbs Mills Road with a group of bikers. O'Leary says Harold Blaney, from Raymond, didn't see Obed and crashed into him.
Obed was taken to Maine Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening head injuries. Blaney was taken to Bridgton Hospital with leg injuries. He's expected to survive.
Deputies are still investigating, but they do not suspect alcohol was involved.
