LEBANON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a fire.
Fire departments from Maine and New Hampshire responded to a two alarm house fire late Tuesday afternoon on Oak Hill Road. When firefighters arrived they found the right side of the building engulfed in flames. They went to work trying to prevent the fire from spreading to the left side of the house. No one was home when the fire broke out. One of the residents left the home just twenty minutes before. It took two hours for crews from at least six towns to get the fire under control.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
