POLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - The Androscoggin County Sheriff's Department is investigating a report of an attempted abduction.
The Sheriff's Department says a female employee of Range Pond State Park in Poland was working the booth at the main gate when a man in a rusted Chevy Van approached her and tried to drag her into the van.
He was unsuccessful and fled.
The van was apparently from the 80s, had square headlights, no rear license plate, and tinted windows -- and the front plate was covered.
