OXFORD, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - A 19 year old girl faces two charges of Class A Manslaughter in connection with a deadly crash in January in West Paris.
Police say Kristina Lowe had been drinking and was texting when her car went off Route 219 on January 7th. The car, which was speeding, launched into the trees and two passengers, Rebecca Mason, 16, and Logan Dam, 19, were killed.
Police say all four were returning to an underage drinking party in West Paris.
Lowe faces 2 counts of Class A Manslaughter, 2 counts of Class B Aggravated Operating Under the Influence, 2 counts of Class C Aggravated Driving to Endanger and one count of Class C Leaving the Scene of a Deadly Crash.
Police say it is likely that there will be charges in connection with the party where the alcohol was obtained.
Lowe was taken to the Oxford County Jail and is being held on $25,000 bail.
