NEW GLOUCESTER, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The rain should help with the fire danger Maine has seen lately.
New Gloucester firefigthers were busy Saturday afternoon when a 1 acre grass fire started spreading near Woodman Road.
The wind didn't help much... Gusting up to 25 miles per hour and fueling the flames.
Both New Gloucester and Gray were just finishing up a live burn training when the call came in. Crews were able to extinguish the fire within 20 minutes, which appears to have been sparked by a tractor riding through the field. No one was injured.
