ATTEAN TOWNSHIP, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- One man was seriously hurt in a snowmobile collision in northwestern Maine.
The accident happened on Big Wood Pond in Attean Township -- which is near Jackman in northern Somerset County.
The Maine Warden Service says 61-year-old Lawrence Salamone of Gorham and 62-year-old Robert Verge of Scarborough were riding together when the accident happened.
Verge suffered a head injury and was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
Salamone was not hurt. He was charged with operating a snowmobile under the influence.
Wardens are still investigating the accident.
