BRISTOL, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Investigators with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Dept. say speed was a factor in the crash that killed a man in Bristol.

It was just before 8 p.m. on Thursday when the crash happened.

Police say a pickup truck was headed north on Route 130 when it went out of control rounding a curve, veered off the road and clipped several trees before finally flipping over in the front yard of a home.

The driver was thrown out of the truck and died at the scene.  His name has not yet been released.  Police say toxicology tests will be performed on his body.
