We're way up north for some skiing and shooting, it's World Cup Biathlon. We'll talk to one of Maine's greatest conservationist, Brownie Carson. And we'll drive through the Hainesville woods looking for a tombstone every mile.

Show # 2011-3
Hi All and Happy Lincoln's Birthday, which I always note because I went to the Abraham Lincoln School in Bangor. Our first piece this week is the World Cup Biathlon at Presque Isle. Arooostook County has done a great job hosting these events. The world biathlon community is here and people have turned out to have lots of fun.

The interview is with Brownie Carson, the long time Executive Director of the Natural Resources Council. I find it interesting that Brownie is Marine Corp combat officer who was seriously wounded in Viet Nam. His story is extremely interesting. I hope you like it.

Part three is the Portland Motor Club. To get more information and to take a virtual tour, check out their website:

Our final piece is a weird combination of Dick Curless and how the roads to Aroostook County were first plowed. I just thought I would put a little Dick Curless under the story and so many kids in the office got asking about Dick Curless, we decided to hold a couple of interviews we did on Dick and do a seperate piece on him later.
