SEBAGO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Investigators say a stranded female motorist was attacked by a man who stopped and offered her assistance.
The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says a 41-year-old woman reported she had been sexually assaulted and robbed just after midnight Saturday in the Town of Sebago.
Investigators say the woman was stuck in her car because of ice. The man stopped his pickup truck and offered to help her. When she was out of her car, he allegedly attacked and sexually assaulted her. Officials say the man stole money from her vehicle and took off -- leaving the woman on the side of the road.
Investigators have released a composite sketch of the suspect. He is described as six feet tall and weighing approximately 170 lbs. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket and a beanie watch cap. He was wearing gold-framed glasses.
They say he was driving a gray or dark color full-size GMC pickup truck with New Hampshire license plates. The truck had a "Ski-Doo" sticker on the right rear corner of the back window.
Deputies say the truck may be towing a double snowmobile trailer with no scoop, and it may have two snowmobiles on it -- one red and one yellow.
