PALMYRA, Maine (AP) -- Police say three people were taken to the hospital after a head-on, two-vehicle collision in Palmyra, but a 10-year-old girl in one of the vehicles escaped serious injury.
Police say 51-year-old Roger Greenlaw of Newport was flown to Eastern Maine Medical Center with possible internal injuries following the Sunday morning crash.
His 10-year-old daughter was checked at the scene by ambulance staff but not transported.
A St. Albans couple was transported to Sebasticook Valley Hospital with possible chest injuries. They were identified as 70-year-old Everett Graham and 64-year-old Phyllis Graham.
Authorities tell the Bangor Daily News that Greenlaw was drove into the opposite travel lane while rounding a corner and the initial investigation showed that Greenlaw most likely was driving too fast for conditions.
