BATH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Two families are still looking for places to live after being burned out of their apartment building Monday night.
The fire was caused by a dryer vent clogged with lint. The Red Cross has been assisting the families with temporary housing, as well necessities like food and clothing. Maria Woodman is a single mom with three young children. Her apartment is one of three that were destroyed in the fire. She says she has no other choice but to take things day by day.
"I think the uncertainty, that's the worst part," Woodman said. "Because after Wednesday we have no idea where we're going or where we're going to live or what's going to happen basically."
The fire victims are receiving assistance from the Mid-Coast chapter of the Red Cross. For more information about the Red Cross and how to donate, click here.
