LOS ANGELES (AP) -- With a strike authorization vote looming, Eric McCormack says he thinks even actors who might favor a strike really "don't want to strike. Nobody wants it to have to come to that." He says "it's a terrible time for that to happen. We all saw how devastating the writers strike was." But, he says "everything SAG is fighting for is legitimate." This Thursday morning, McCormack, along with Angela Bassett, will announce nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Awards. McCormack says "it's going to be about art and not the politics of it." He's one of the announcers because his upcoming series, "Trust Me," will air on TNT. And, TNT, along with sister channel, TBS, is the home of the SAG awards.
