MARCO ISLAND, Florida (WBBH) -- It's the time of year in Southwest Florida when seasonal residents return for the winter, but they're not all human. A bald eagle couple is nesting in the middle of a residential neighborhood on Marco Island.
"It's unbelievable when they're close to you just how big they are," says Marco resident Elliott Delman. "It's a gorgeous site, it's something that's very rare."
Captured by curiosity, Marco Island residents come with their telescopes and binoculars hoping to catch a glimpse. Every year the two bald eagles, Paleo and his mate Calusa, come back to the same spot on Tigertail Court to build a nest and a family.
