RIVERSIDE, Cal. (NBC) - An expensive tool is being used to fight the flames of the "Buck" wildfire burning in Riverside County, California.
A specially equipped DC-10 jet has been dropping fire retardant in the path of the flames.
Firefighters say it's critical for containing the Buck Fire, which began Tuesday as a result of a lightning strike.
It costs approximately $19,000 dollars an hour to fly the huge airplane.
