UPDATE: Sanford man arrested for raping a teenage girl

SANFORD, Maine (AP) -- Police say two more women have come forward to allege they were assaulted by a Sanford man who's been charged with sexually assaulting a teenage girl.

Zachary Garrison was charged with gross sexual assault earlier this week.

Detective Cpl. Sarah Roberts says since his arrest, two women contacted the police department with allegations that Garrison raped them. He's only facing charges in one case. Police are asking any more women who think they were assaulted by the defendant to contact them.

Roberts could not say when the alleged assaults took place or how old the women were at the time.

Garrison is being held at the York County Jail in Alfred on $15,000 cash bail. It's not clear if he has a lawyer.
