Trio arrested in vandalism spree in Bath after a month long investigation

BATH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Bath Police received various reports of vandalism, graffiti and theft beginning on March 2 and continued through March 24.

In March five reports were made of smashed windows to parked vehicles. Ten other reports were made that included graffiti to numerous structures that included City of Bath recreation buildings and property, as well as more damage to vehicles, theft and burglary. The report of a burglary involved unauthorized entry to a vacant home in Bath where damage was done and some items taken from the home.

Bath Police arrested Robert Bruce, 18, of West Bath, Zachary Carey, 19, of Bath and Amelia Trafton, 18, of Bath.

Bruce and Trafton have arraignment dates of June 10th at the District Court in West Bath. The total estimated property damage is in excess of $2000. Investigators are currently in the process of gathering further estimates of damaged property.
