WATERBURY, Connecticut (WVIT) - A Waterbury, Connecticut school janitor has been arrested, accused of bringing a loaded gun to an elementary school.
Police charged Cody Willette, 25, of Woodbury, on Monday after two workers found a loaded handgun inside a preschool classroom for 3-and 4-year-old children at Bucks Hills Elementary School in Waterbury, police said.
Willette is a member of the custodial staff.
He was charged with reckless endangerment and failing to properly store a firearm.
Police said they were able to trace the gun registration back to Willette and no children were around when the gun was found.
Willette was released on a $10,000 bond and is due in court on December 22.
