NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) -- Police in Connecticut say a woman who was killed when she was struck by a truck while tailgating at the Harvard-Yale football game has been identified as a 30-year-old Massachusetts woman.
New Haven police say Nancy Barry of Salem was pronounced dead at Yale-New Haven Hospital shortly after the incident Saturday morning.
Police say 30-year-old Yale student Sarah Short of New Haven remained hospitalized Sunday and a third woman, Harvard employee Elizabeth Dernbach, was treated at an area hospital Saturday and released.
Police did not immediately release information about the driver, who was operating a U-Haul carrying beer kegs. Police say it accelerated in a Yale Bowl parking lot and struck the women, then hit another U-Haul truck.
The investigation remained active Sunday, and no charges had been immediately announced.
