Sen. Collins begins campaign bus tour across Maine

BANGOR, Maine (AP) - Sen. Susan Collins is starting her re-election campaign bus tour that will take her to all 16 counties.

The Republican senator's "All of Maine" bus tour is kicking off in Bangor on Tuesday. Her campaign said the first three days of the journey will cover more than 350 miles and will stop in several counties including Penobscot, Androscoggin and Sagadahoc. Collins, who is being challenged by Democrat Shenna Bellows, plans to visit all of Maine's 16 counties between now and Election Day.

Bellows recently wrapped up a 350-mile walk across Maine to meet voters and to try to raise her profile in the race against the powerful Republican incumbent.
