(NEWS CENTER) -- Kevin Raye is hoping the third time is the charm. The businessman and former Maine Senate President is taking his third shot at the second district Congressional seat. He talks abut his primary campaign In The Arena with Pat Callaghan.
Raye was the Republican nominee in 2002 and 2012, but lost to Rep. Mike Michaud (D-Maine) both times. Raye is in a primary against former state treasurer Bruce Poliquin, who has raised and spent more money that Raye has.
We talk with Raye about his ideas for improving life in Maine's second district, and whether there is room in the GOP controlled U.S. House of Representatives for a moderate Republican.
Raye talks about his opposition to the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare, and how a different approach is needed. And he discusses why he thinks his chances of being elected are better now than his previous bids.
