WASHINGTON (NBC) -- A new billboard in downtown Washington, D.C. is raising some eyebrows.
It advertises a handgun shooting seminar that's coming to the area later this month.
The billboard reads: "Hey D.C., it's time for your first shot".
It's attached to the Massachusetts House apartment building and sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, a trade group for the gun industry.
The organization will host a tour in the Washington area August 24-28, to give people "an opportunity to give shooting a try."
It says firearms and ammunition will be provided for non-gun owners.
