For the first time since Abigail Hernandez went missing her mother agreed to do an interview with us. On the 6-month anniversary of Abby's disappearance Zenya Hernandez invited us into her home to answer questions and discuss the case that has baffled investigators.
"My gut tells me she did not leave willingly, that's my gut, that's what I think", she said.
Zenya Hernandez answered some of the questions that remained unanswered throughout the investigation into her daughter's disappearance. She says Abby was not the kind of person who would not contact her for days. She had never run away before. She had plans she was looking forward to.
"She definitely had plans for the near future here, she didn't take anything with her other than what she had with her that day", she said.
Abby was last seen leaving Kennett High School in Conway, NH on October 9th.
Her mother says Abby was happy and in good spirits leading up to that day and her disappearance came out of the blue.
"It was a shock and it still is. We're still searching for answers, I'm still thinking how could this have happened, what happened?", she said.
On this the 6-month anniversary of Abby's disappearance friends, classmates and relatives gathered at Zenya Hernandez' home to show their support for her and to tell her they'll never give up on Abby.
