"Rocky" premiered on Nov. 21, 1976.
In one of the most famous scenes, Rocky runs up a flight of steps leading to the Philadelphia Museum of Art as part of his training for his championship fight. That story beat was subsequently repeated in the sequels.
For a scene from "Rocky III," a bronze statue of Rocky was placed at the top of the stairs. When the movie shoot was done, the statue was taken down.
But the museum eventually got sick of turning away all the tourists who came looking for the statue. So they put it back on display, only they moved it down from the top of the stairs to the bottom and just off to the side.
