The show made its Broadway debut on Nov. 26, 1959.

"Something Good" is the song the Captain and Maria sing when they admit their love for each other.  But the courtship between the two of them in real life wasn't quite so romantic.

In her autobiography, the real Maria Von Trapp admits she didn't love the Captain when they first got married, but grew to love him over time.
