Cousy was born on Aug. 9, 1928.
He never played for the Blackhawks. They couldn't reach an agreement over his salary, so the Blackhawks released him. His rights were then acquired by the Chicago Stags, but the team folded soon afterward which finally allowed the Celtics to scoop him up.
In his 13 seasons with Boston, he would score almost 17,000 points and win 6 championships.
