York police say teen driver was on phone, causing 10-car pileup

YORK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A 17-year-old girl from York was cited for causing the 10-car pileup on Route 1 in York last week, according to police.

The York Police Department says the girl has been charged with running a red light and talking on her phone while driving with an intermediate license.

She faces $500 in fines and revocation of her license.

There were no life-threatening injuries in Thursday's crash.
