York Police find $22,000 worth of marijuana, arrest one

YORK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Tuesday York Police executed a search warrant in York Beach that resulted in the arrest of one.

The search warrant was executed based on previous narcotics sales from 55 Long Beach Avenue over the last few months.

The warrant revealed approximately 5 pounds of marijuana, hashish, paraphernalia, various pills (prescribed medication), electronic equipment, growing equipment, and other items of value. The marijuana is estimated to be worth over $22,000.

40-year-old Cedar R. Gordon was also arrested for Unlawful Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs. Gordon was transported to the York Police Station for booking, and released on $500 cash bail.

46-year-old William F. Burke was issued a summons to make a court appearance as well. Burke was summonsed to appear in court for Unlawful Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs.
