Windham man extricated from car in single car crash

WINDHAM, Maine (NEWS CENTER) --  Police say a Windham man was extricated from his car at the intersection of River Rd. and Laskey Rd. on Sunday night.

Windham Police Department Sgt. Ray Williams said fire rescue spent approximately 45 minutes rescuing
31-year-old Matthew Knowles from his silver Kia.

Knowles’s lost control of his car when it landed on its roof on the side of the road. He was transported to Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say an initial investigation shows that speed and alcohol are most likely factors in the crash.
