Waldoboro police need help identifying Smoke Shop burglary suspects

Burglary at "Waldoboro Smoke Shop".

WALDOBORO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Waldoboro Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in identifying two male subjects caught on video surveillance camera during an early morning burglary at the Waldoboro Smoke Shop.

Police say the burglary happened sometime between 1 a.m. to 2:30 am back on October 19. The Waldoboro Smoke Shop is located on the corner of Kalers Corner Road and Route 1, directly across from Dunkin Donuts.

The burglars are heard on surveillance camera, referring to each other as Mark and Ken. The subject identified as Mark is believed to be between 5-8 and 5-10 tall and weighing between 180 and 200 lbs. Through conversations heard during the burglary, Mark is believed to possibly be from the Sanford, Maine area. The other subject believed to be known as Ken is believed to be between 6-0 and 6-2 tall and weighing between 175 and 180 lbs.

The suspects appeared to be extremely organized and precise regarding their movements and activities inside the store, police say. Entry was made through the front door and the exited through the rear of the store. The burglars were able to get into the safe and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise.
