Two arrested in Augusta on drug trafficking charges

AUGUSTA, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Augusta police say two people from New York City are facing drug trafficking charges after raiding a home on Washington Street.
 
Police say Nayquan Nicholas, 28, and Erica Cormona, 18, were arrested Wednesday night after finding 18 grams of crack cocaine, 12 grams of heroin and nearly $1,300 in cash in a home at 37 Washington Street. The MDEA and Maine State Police also executed the search warrant.
 
Nicholas and Cormona face two counts of drug trafficking and criminal forfeiture. Their bail is set at $30,000 cash each at the Kennebec County Jail.
