CASCO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police are investigating a string of car burglaries, and a stolen car.
A corrections officer at the Cumberland County Jail says his 2004, blue, Ford, F-150 was stolen from his driveway in yesterday morning. The keys were inside the unlocked truck, along with his jail uniform and officer badge.
Deputies also responded to other car burglary calls in the same area. While looking into those burglaries, they found that one of the items stolen from a vehicle was a loaded Glock 40 caliber handgun.
So far, investigators think the same people are involved in the burglaries and the car theft. Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call the sheriff's office at (207) 893-2810.
