For Snow Bikers It's All Down Hill

BRIDGTON (NEWS CENTER)--Skiers and boarders weren't the only ones carving it up at Shawnee Peak Sunday. Bikers were also riding the trails.

36 winter sports extremists hit the slopes on top of moutain bikes. It was the kickoff to the Winterbike Series. Riders will race four times at Shawnee Peak, Lost Valley, Camden Snow Bowl and Bretton Woods in New Hampshire over the next couple of weekends.

Racers negotiate sharp turns and gates on the slalom course and try not to hit the snow too hard. It's competetive, but most of these guys are just here for a good time.
