Bicyclist Killed On Route 25

PORTER (NEWS CENTER) -- A cyclist was killed Monday morning when he fell off his bike and was hit by a tractor trailer.

State police say John Lacaillade II, 38, of Meredith, NH was riding with members of his family. They say he may have lost control of his bike on loose pavement or gravel on Route 25 in Porter. Some of the people he was riding with who ridden to New England from California. They were due to end their journey in Portland, and Lacaillade joined them for the final leg of their trip.

The crash closed Route 25 for about six hours.
