AUGUSTA, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- As of just 3 weeks ago, the number of hours young drivers have to log before applying for a license has doubled to 70; that's a lot of time for parents to keep track of, but now there's an app for that.
Ford Motor Company has created an app called RoadReady. Once downloaded, parents just click start each time they're starting a new trip in the car with their teen driver.
The app will log all of those hours for you, even keeping track of the road conditions, or whether they were day or night hours.
Secretary of State, Matt Dunlap, says parents can then print the final log and send it in.
So far the app is only available on iPhones, though you should be able to download RoadReady on androids by 2014.
