CORNISH, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A man who has been wanted by police in New Hampshire for more than two years was found in Cornish yesterday.
The York County Sheriff's Office was called to Cumberland Street around quarter to five yesterday afternoon for a report of a verbal fight between a man and a woman.
Sheriff's Deputies responded to the scene. The man, according to a police report, gave a false name, yelled "see you later!" and ran off toward the Saco River.
He made it about 50 yards.
Police figured out that the man is Nicholas Davis. He's been wanted in New Hampshire on a parole violation, which means no bail for the new charge of refusal to submit to arrest in Maine.
Davis is being held at the York County Jail pending extradition proceedings.
