NEWPORT, Maine (NEWS CENTER)--A house fire broke out around 2am on Elm Street in the town of Newport.

Pittsfield Fire was the first on the scene.  They were covering for Newport Fire Department who was assisting Stetson Fire with their own house fire.  Six area fire departments battled the freezing temperatures to assist Newport Fire.  We will have more information on both fires as details become available.

The Fire Marshal's office is investigating.
