NORRIDGEWOCK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - The pilot of a plane that flipped over on landing at the Norridgewock Airport is safe.
In a media release, State Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland says that Robert Lewandowski, 44, from Winthrop, was practicing landings when he crashed.
McCausland says Lewandowski was on his 8th or 9th landing when something apparently broke loose. Lewandowski's plane veered off the runway, hit a snow bank and flipped. Lewandowski was not injured.
