Police say 44-year-old William Troy was driving on Middle Road in Waterboro when he lost control of his car around 9 p.m. Friday. Authorities say Troy's car rolled several times before it was stopped by a tree. Rescue personnel from Waterboro and Alfred had to extricate Troy from his car.
Troy was taken to Southern Maine Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Police say speed, alcohol, and black ice are all considered factors in the accident.
