PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The city of Portland has honored some good samaritans for their work in helping to save an elderly woman who had crashed her car into Portland Harbor last month.
Eleven people, including six civilians, sprang into action to pull Ursula Nixon from her sinking car on September 28th.
Nixon had crashed into the water after losing control coming down India Street.
Nixon has since recovered from her injuries.
The people involved in her rescue were honored Monday night at the Portland city council meeting.
